The Central New York and Southern Tier Regional Group (CNY&STRG) is an alliance of HIV clinical providers, supportive service providers, and community members living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, working in concert with the New York State Department of Health, and local County Health Departments to address public health priorities and improve regional health outcomes through modern improvement methods. The regional group is part of Governor Cuomo's Ending the Epidemic initiative and addresses the Linkage to Care, Retention in Care, use of data for improvement and viral load suppression recommendations under the Blueprint to end AIDS.
The CNY&STRG had its first regional meeting on November 16th, 2015! The kick off meeting begins the process of networking and sharing the work agencies and community members are doing to improve linkage, retention and viral load suppression rates in the central corridor of New York State. Future meetings will enable members to share best practices, disseminate successes, and work on addressing challenges and barriers throughout the region.
