The Long Island Regional Group (LIRG) is an alliance of HIV clinical providers, supportive service providers, and community members living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, working in concert with the New York State Department of Health, the Nassau and Suffolk County Health Departments, the Nassau-Suffolk HIV Health Services Planning Council, and the Nassau-Suffolk Ending the Epidemic (ETE) Steering Committees to address public health priorities and improve regional health outcomes through modern improvement methods.
The LIRG had its first collaborative learning session on August 24, 2015! We are excited by all of the amazing work agencies and community members are doing to improve linkage, retention and viral load suppression rates on Long Island, and look forward to all of quality improvement work ahead that will give opportunities for providers and community members to share best practices, disseminate successes, and work on addressing challenges and barriers throughout the region.
